The Vermont Law and Graduate School campus is different. It has the ingredients most people seek when they want to restore themselves—natural beauty, a purposeful sense of quiet, and a powerful sense of community. It's a place where classmates inspire each other and become friends for life. Where lawyers- and advocates-in-training are immersed in a diverse community of risk-takers and out-of-the-box thinkers who want to change the world rather than fit into it.
Located in beautiful South Royalton, Vermont, our 12-acre campus sits along the banks of the White River where students, faculty, and staff enjoy the water and the views. Seventeen campus buildings house classrooms; a café serving fresh, locally sourced meals; a fitness center; a childcare facility; and faculty and staff office spaces. The campus also boasts a solar panel array and parking lots with electric car charging stations.
In 2019, VLGS opened a satellite office in downtown Burlington. Located less than a block from city hall, the office includes immigration services through the school’s Center for Justice Reform Clinic, classroom and event space, programs for our ABA-accredited Online Hybrid JD program and the National Center on Restorative Justice, and a location for our admissions team to meet with students and visitors in the greater Burlington area.
We are committed to developing a generation of leaders who use the power of the law to make a difference in our communities and the world, and that commitment is reflected throughout our campus. At Vermont Law and Graduate School, you’ll find energy-efficient buildings, opportunities to serve clients and solve real-world problems, and a supportive community created by our students, faculty, and staff—and, most importantly, the education you need to become a catalyst for change.
