FreshTracks Capital is a Vermont-focused investment fund that uses venture capital to generate positive economic, social, environmental and community impacts. Across its four funds, totaling more than $45 million, FreshTracks has invested in 40 companies and generated hundreds of high-paying jobs in various Vermont business sectors including Software, Internet & Mobile Technologies, Consumer Products, Food and Beverage, Healthcare IT & Services, High-Tech Manufacturing, Energy Efficiency, Solar, and Green Technologies. FreshTracks is deeply involved in the local innovation economy, and hosts two flagship events for entrepreneurs and investors, including Peak Pitch, where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to investors during a day of skiing, and Road Pitch, a state-wide week-long motorcycle tour for investors to field new business pitches in 10 communities around Vermont. The firm was founded in 2000 by Cairn Cross and Charlie Kireker, and is currently managed by General Partners Cairn Cross, Lee Bouyea and T.J. Whalen.
