While vital for human sanitation, septic systems are contributing to nutrient pollution in places like Cape Cod. Excitingly, a pilot project led by the Green Center and MASSTC is testing urine diversion to reduce this pollution. We're proud to support this initiative, collaborating to treat and recycle diverted urine. Together, we're driving local momentum for sustainable wastewater management and protecting coastal ecosystems. 2023 Recap💩🌱♻️ In 2023, our goal was to build the most lovable, scalable, and sustainable sanitation business in the world by delivering on our promise of Potties with Purpose. Below are a few highlights of the year: 🌱We turned over 2,000 gallons of urine into fertilizer, which was spread across 3 acres at local farms. 🌱We secured a treatment permit and launched our circular porta-potty operations 🌱We worked with over 110 customers in the Greater Burlington area! 🌱We weathered the Vermont mud season together, supporting our local communities during times of need. Keep an eye out for us in 2024 with new product offerings, research findings and developments, and new market launches! Read more about our 2023 here: https://lnkd.in/dxR6WXwr

Our hearts go out our local Vermont communities that have been affected by the devastating floods over the last week 💚 Wishing everyone a safe and speedy recovery. It’s beautiful to see Vermonters rally together and love each other well through the storms. Wasted* is honored to help support where we can ♻️ The local food systems, including many of the farms that we work with, were hit hard. If you’d like to support, NOFA VT Emergency Fund and Vermont Farm Fund (link in the comments) are accepting donations to help this ecosystem bloom back -- more vibrant than ever 🌱 #vermontstrong
