In 1963, ten visionary employees of Chevrolet Aluminum Foundry of GM Corporation in Massena invested $5 each to obtain a share in a newly formed organization that we know today as
SeaComm Federal Credit Union. Initially working from a toolbox, the young credit union grew to 350 members, and in 1966 was moved to the UAW Hall.
Soon the need for expanded community locations was warranted and the credit union opened subsequent branches in Potsdam (1985), Malone (1990), Canton (2004), Ogdensburg (2010) and Plattsburgh (2017). As we have evolved throughout the years, we've grown to offer products and services such as NetTeller™,
electronic services,
Mobile Branch and our expanded Call Center.
SeaComm Federal Credit Union serves over 46,000 members with assets of over $550 million and is open to persons who live, work, (or regularly conduct business in), worship or attend school in and businesses and other legal entities located in St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex Counties, NY.
